The Novel Update

14,158 words and counting.
I'm under where I'd like to be for this point in the month, but hopefully I can write a bunch today and tomorrow.

Between job interviews, doctor appointments, and physical therapy, I've been sadly busier than anticipated.

I'm not sure if I'll release the novel when I'm done, but it's certainly been a bit of fun writing it, and I'll definitely do it again in November for the national event.

As for "grad school getting in the way," it's hard to say. The book I've used as my guide into the world of month-long novelling (No Plot? No Problem! by Chris Baty) actually recommends that you write when you have a real daily life going on. I've found that since I'm unemployed at the moment, I have extra motivation to sleep (hehehe) and sometimes writing is hard to "get motivated for." However, I think if I were doing it in addition to a real job or something along those lines, it might be something to look forward to as a change of pace...depending, of course, on the amount of "free" time you have. ;)
